Inflatable packers come in diameters of 1′′–2′′, 2′′–3′′, 3′′–4′′, 3′′–6′′, 4′′–7′′, and 5′′–8′′. Lengths range from 12′′ to at least five feet. They may expand by two times from their run-in diameter thanks to the sliding head design, and they often provide a longer seal than a mechanical packer. These packers contain built-in tube scrapers that operate each time the packer is deflated and remove extra grout that has clung to the exterior of the centre tube.
